Lake Yamanakako was formed when volcanic activity from Mt. Fuji dammed a valley. The "Swan Lake" boat is a renovated version of the earlier Princess Odette, designed by Eiji Mitooka.

Before you go

Some sailings are suspended from December to February, but the boat runs over New Year. In some weather a smaller cruiser replaces the swan boat, or sailings are cancelled. The Yamanakako tourism association website was temporarily suspended on 24 October 2026.
